Tropical FruitThis juicy travel activity will occupy children on their journey! Wherever your vacation, it’s always good for children to get eat plenty of fresh fruit.

With this activity, you can encourage them to explore and discuss the importance of fruit in their diet. Invite your children to color in these abstract pattern fruit segments – or design their own – and make them into funky fruit jewelry!

This travel art can be done in:

  • Cars
  • Planes
  • Trains
  • Hotel rooms

 

What you will need:

  • Printed Fruit Slice Jewelry activity sheet
  • A variety of colored pencils, felt tip markers or crayons
  • Safety scissors and a hole punch
  • A colorful ribbon or string

Directions:

  1. Print out the Tropical Fruit Slice Jewelry activity sheet.
  2. Put all drawing materials in a plastic lidded box ready for transporting. Give your children a tray to work on.
  3. Allow children to decorate their fruit segments or even to design their own.
  4. Cut the circles out, punch holes and thread ribbon or string through to make earrings and necklaces.
