By May 21, 2015February 21st, 2020No Comments

Did you know that there are nearly 250 hotels in Manhattan with more than 500 rooms? This bustling island is arguably one of the most lively, diverse and iconic cities in the world. People will spend their entire vacation budget on visiting and indulging in New York City hotels for a real urban experience. Families in particular love this hub for its wide, open parks, kid-centric attractions and range of foodie delights.

You already know we love bringing our babies to New York City, as well as kids and teens. When you plan a trip to the Big Apple, the big question is – where to stay? We’ve compiled a list of the best hotels that offer kids (and adults) perks fit for kings in Manhattan.

Hilton Times Square

We stayed here as kids and think the tradition should carry on through generations. You can’t get a little locale that in the heart of Time Square – it cuts down on walking time and whining to get into the middle of all the action. Hilton brand provides modern rooms, queen beds and fantastic staff that will do everything to make sure your crew is comfortable.

Hotel Metro

Well-fed kids are happy kids! Enjoy both family-approved restaurants onsite at this hotel that have great kid menus and lots of choice. Rooms are large as well, including some ‘Family Room’ options with separate bedrooms and suites.

The Roxy Hotel Tribeca

Of all the kid-friendly amenities, this hotel has one of the best. While parents are indulging in some tasty brunch and morning cocktails, the kids are invited to a private screening of their favorite cartoons in the hotel’s VIP movie theater. You can also request a goldfish as a temporary pet to be put in your room!

Gansevoort Meatpacking

For space and style awards, this hotel wins hands down. There’s high ceilings, big bathrooms and options to book double adjoining rooms together. Feel free to request complimentary crib use, diapers and more as well. Head right outside hotel doors to access to fun family-friendly restaurants and shopping.

Dream Downtown

This could be the biggest splurge on the list, but its location in Chelsea and amenities are well worth the price tag. Kids will immediately squeal upon check-in, as pool swimmer float above the reception desk. Little ones won’t be able to wait to try it out for themselves. Although nighttime gets a little wild, that is the perfect time for families to cozy up in the state-of-the-art rooms, complete with double beds, plush robes, iPod docks, an great skyline views.

Hotel Le Bleu

As one of our most budget-friendly hotels on the list, this option is in the borough of Brooklyn, but still provides easy access to Manhattan by train. Not to mention, Brooklyn is a fun and family-friendly place to explore in itself. Try clean, welcoming rooms at Hotel le Bleu, some of which have garden terrace access. There’s also parking available and easier to navigate than Manhattan is taking the kiddos via car.
