hotels in Anaheim California for families near Disneyland

You and the family have decided to take the plunge. You are all off to Disneyland! Now we at Pure Wander do like a little outdoor, urban and cultural adventure, but who can pass up the chance to explore this iconic destination at least once?

Depending on what type of crew you plan to travel with, there are many options for accommodations in this sunny city. If you choose to visit in the off-season, Anaheim hotels and other places to stay can also be more affordable. Here’s a list of some top picks to get you started.

Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Resort

The Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Resort is for the purists who like to be in the center of all the action. It’s one of the park’s most luxe accommodations located right in Downtown Disney. They provide a themed pool with water slides, special tickets to enter the theme parks an hour early, and several themed dining options on-site, including dinner with Goofy. If mom and dad need a quick break, the hotel offers a few options for child care, as well.

Days Inn Anaheim West at Disneyland Drive

Also located very close to the park but not with as many perks, the Days Inn Anaheim West at Disneyland Drive hotel is ideal for the budget-conscious family who would rather spend more time in the parks. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast are part of the package, as well as access to discounts for other Anaheim points of interest. Larger families can choose rooms with three queen beds as well so everyone can spread out and be comfortable.

Anaheim Marriott Hotel

The Anaheim Marriott, only minutes away from Disneyland, provides an oasis for your family to eat, swim, relax, workout and maybe even sleep. With amenities ranging from an onsite Cheesecake Factory restaurant to flat screen TVs inside every room, this will keep all members of your crew happy, well-fed and refreshed.

Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel

There are other things going on in Anaheim for kids no matter what the folks at Disney tell you. For instance, Knott’s Berry Farm provides a wonderful change of scenery with a selection of rides, roller coasters, entertainment, shopping and more. The park has an official hotel equipped with comfortable amenities such as a large outdoor pool, air conditioning, free wireless internet and complimentary hotel shuttles to nearby attractions. The hotel is about a 12-minute ride from Disneyland and situated outside the city, but it still boasts a great location.

AirBnB Rentals

If your family can forgo luxuries like maid service and a continental breakfast, an Airbnb holiday rental can provide a wonderful alternative option. There are countless properties in Anaheim that offer families comfortable quarters for a fraction of the price of a hotel. Not to mention, many include full kitchens and other helpful amenities ideal for wandering broods. If you’re visiting Anaheim for a large group or a family reunion, you can look into this gorgeous five-bedroom rental with a private pool. It’s much more affordable and cozier than separate hotel rooms and only a six-minute drive from Disneyland.
